Leading edge management
Brondolin manages the thermal treatment of special steels using leading edge technologies. A highly specialised metallographic laboratory supports production, carrying out materials microanalyses before and after each treatment. The systems provide vertical and horizontal austenitizing furnaces in a controlled atmosphere, with quenching in salt tanks at 200° and 500°C having a load capacity of up to 2500 kg. A carousel furnace, in a controlled atmosphere, carries out hardening activities, with quenching in a salt bath or in oil.

Complementary activities
The thermal treatment is accompanied by a series of complementary activities. These include carburizing, nitriding in salt, surface post-oxidation treatment, stress-relieving and annealing.
